- Why has the greatest tennis player in the history of the game never been on the cover of Sports Illustrated?
- Why did ESPN today give front website-page listing to Browns Leigh Bodden getting arrested although it did not even cover today’s news of former player and announcer Bill Maas getting arrested– again? [AOL Fan House]
- Why did ESPN today… Browns Leigh Bodden… when it did not even cover the story of former NFL player Bob Buczkowski who was sentenced yesterday to a slap on the wrist after recently pleading guilty of running a multi-million dollar prostitution ring? [The Starting Five and The Big Lead]
- Why didn’t ESPN cover the story of the beloved Hank Aaron calling Michael Vick "a very good guy", when it negatively covered every other younger athlete who had anything resembling a supportive statement mixed in with their condemnation? [AOL Fan House again]
- Why is D.K. Wilson from The Starting Five and Michael David Smith from AOL Fan House not on ESPN’s payroll for doing their own reporting for them?
- Why hasn’t the following statement by Terrell Owens gotten more mainstream media attention?
"Donovan is a good guy. I missed him. I missed the times that we had. Donovan is a good guy. He is a good friend. There were some things that happened. I do regret some of the things that happened. If I could go back and change some of the things then I would." [Leave the Man Alone]
- Why did SI’s Richard Deitsch praise Jason Whitlock for being “bold enough to criticize the well-regarded [Michael] Wilbon" of his column on Ronny Thompson” when Whitlock has had a pretty impressive string of criticizing/responding to any other African-American journalist who ever dares to call out racism?
- Why hasn’t Richard Deitsch or any other mainstream reporter been "bold enough" to call out Jason Whitlock out on his god-awful and dangerous column that minimized the happenings of “The Jena Six”?
- Why isn’t Sports Illustrated’s very best writer [Gary Smith] more well known?
- Why isn’t ESPN The Mag’s very best writer [Dan Le Batard] still writing most of his articles for the Miami Herald instead of ESPN’s Page2?
- Why must SI’s Rick Reilly ALWAYS jump on easiest of prey? (the latest: “Top 11 Prison Nicknames for Michael Vick"?)
- Why has the greatest tennis player in the history of the game never been on the cover of Sports Illustrated?

The reason is, as I’m sure you know, as plain as the nose on your face. Si is a racist, xenophobic, sensationalist rag worthy only for toilet duty.
KD, personally I found it to be a little rough, so I moved back to Charmin… It’s still my emergency roll…
…Unless Gary Smith is writing that week. Dwil was right about Smith’s must read this week on Miami coach Randy Shannon. One of the best pieces I have read all year. There may be no sportswriter who delves deeper into the complexity of his subjects. It kind of reminds me of an excellent piece on George O’Leary a few years back… if only Smith can have a word with Rick Reilly and Tom Verducci who only process “good vs. evil…”
ESPN – Every Suspect Probably Negro – that explains their choices.
