MODI,
Awesome stuff man, just getting to read it now. I wasn't even aware that Mardy was related to the Nazr trade. The way that I saw it back when it happened, I thought we needed someone with some winning playoff experience that knows how to defend bigs in the league.

Isiah has got to be the best drafter in the league, high picks, low picks, he finds the talent and brings it home.

two words for tony mejia this year: Wilson Chandler!

thanks fellas. Lives, thanks for passing on.

Statesman, you are so right. Isiah's trades are evaluated on trade day. And no writers ever apologize a couple of years later after trashing him.

good point about Paxson-Curry. Curry is EXACTLY the missing piece that the Bulls now need.

Great stuff Modi. If the Knicks can stay healthy, truth will emerge on the basketball court; do not, however, expect anyone like Mejia to acknowledge the same. Thanks for
such solid reporting.

Modi,
Great point. I have observed that sports-writers generally will extrapolate w/ other GMs trades and signings. Last year before the season Paxson (Bulls), was praised for trading Tyson Chandler(for P.J. Brown & J.R. Smith), so he could sign Ben Wallace. He was praised for for having fore-sight, even though in hindsight it looks like a bad trade. Phoenix traded Marbury and the GM (Colangelo) was praised because it allowed him to free up money to sign Nash. Isiah trades are judged on the day of the trade period. The Curry trade was ridiculed for 2 years, now it is rarely brought up because Curry looks like a player. Very few writers are saying that Paxson (Bulls) who is now looking for a low-post scorer traded a 23 year old who has the best low-post moves in the East.
