SML, never thought about it quite like that but you are absolutely right, it goes back to the francis trade. Yeah, that is a good way to put it, randolph is completely redundant. His only added value to the Knicks roster is a couple of extra rebounds. Perhaps a one-dimensional Reggie Evans could suit that need for 15 minutes a game

Good analysis as always, Modi. Seems like the Knicks will always be haunted by Larry Brown's mistake, huh! First it was trading for Steve Francis to satisfy Brown, and now it's dumping Francis, but getting Randolph who has stunted the development of both Lee and Curry. Not his fault... he plays hard... but he's totally redundant. Someone has to go.

If Crawford went to the rim he'd be broke in half. He a dainty boy.
No way the Knicks are a playoff team and Isiah sucks at GM also.

Thanks knicksdefense. Hell, if Jamal drove regularly he would shoot 47% instead of 41% and he would be an all-star. But he doesn't for some reason... ...I would never call you E-City!!!

Thanks Lives and Folly.

AMEN MODI, AMEN! Tid "if it aint broke don't brake it," well if it is broke, well then, time to get a new one! nah, I got a lot of faith in Jamal and Nate usually, but when they get into slumps we've got Fred to come in and spell one of them. I've yet to see Nate and Jamal slump simultaneously... don't think that will happen either. I like jamal's quote after the game: "I should have drove," because you know if jamal drives he can get fouled and shoot free throws to get out of the slump. common sense.

but they can still make it, and I'm not just saying that because I love the Knicks, but when you look at how bad the east is, we just need to figure out how to close these games we're competing in, and "go for the kill" down the stretch. it's just very frustrating because if we where at the point where the season was lost, and they were getting blown out, then you could just feel good about the lottery pick in the summer. But because we've been competing, you want to believe that they can figure it out and rise up in the eastern conference. Not much above us to get to 7 or 8 if we can develop this killer instinct.

great post though. the footnotes! I don't even know how did that stuff. and the stats. I feel lazy now! just call me e-city :D
